When someone takes the courageous first step of accepting help for an addiction, we want to meet that person right where they are and lay out a path for them to achieve a fulfilling life in recovery. Not only does the substance abuse need to stop, underlying issues need to be processed and any co-occurring diagnoses need to be managed for the person to truly thrive in sobriety.
Everyone who comes to Ascension has a unique background and perspective and that’s why we believe that treatment programming should not be 'one size fits all.' Our admissions assessment will take into account many aspects of the admitting client’s personal history so that we can create a treatment schedule that is holistic in nature. We carefully weigh:
Once our clinical team has discussed the client’s symptoms and current stage of recovery, we will draw from a very wide spectrum of evidence based treatment modalities in order to address the client's entire being, including their mind, body, and spirit.
The therapeutic processes that are scheduled for the client are facilitated by skilled and credentialed addiction counselors and therapists, many of whom have had addiction touch their lives personally.
Our low bed count and high staff to client ratio allows us to provide highly supervised treatment and closely monitor each client’s progress so that we can make adjustments based on their progress or any other developments in their recovery.
Our serene location in Palm Springs is ideal for our clients to take the time to address personal issues, make breakthroughs, and implement new behaviors without the distractions and stress of normal life.
Ascension provides the entire continuum of care from detoxification to outpatient treatment. Our clients frequently stay in the Palm Springs area to continue working with our clinical team via outpatient or 'day treatment' while residing at home or in a sober living environment nearby. Palm Springs is an excellent place to spend your first year of recovery for a variety of reasons, including incredible weather, and an uplifting recovery community with lots of educational and employment opportunities.
