Breaking Alcohol Addiction

Residential Alcohol Treatment in Palm Springs, CA

If you’re here to find out more about alcohol and drug rehab, the good news is that there’s never been a better time to seek treatment.

Alcohol and other drug use can cause family, social, financial and other problems. Many of our clients have used alcohol or drugs to self-medicate other co-occurring conditions like depression and anxiety. This may seem to work at first, but this kind of substance abuse can quickly spiral out of control.

When drinking is affecting your life in a negative way, but you feel like you’re unable to control your intake on your own, it’s time to get help. You don’t have to “go it alone” and you don’t have to continue the spiral. You can regain your life and find serenity and fulfillment.

Detoxing Before Alcohol & Drug Treatment

Detox is usually the first step in the process of getting sober and clean from substances. Detox offers a therapeutic environment to rid the body of the drugs. Alcohol and other drugs can cause severe and dangerous withdrawal effects when stopped ‘cold turkey.’ In detox, we work to make our clients as comfortable as possible. Throughout your stay, we monitor their health and mental health, and even provide medication to ease symptoms, if needed.

Detox is staffed with an experienced, supportive team of professionals trained to understand and monitor any co-occurring disorders. People who have co-occurring mental health disorders made need a diagnosis or even medication, and it’s important that this diagnosis is monitored throughout their time in treatment. Substance abuse can sometimes present itself as a mental disorder, but once the substance is removed and some time has passed, the symptoms may wane. This is why it’s important to assess our clients’ mental health and wellbeing throughout treatment.

Once a client has finished at detox, they can move on to our residential treatment program, where they will spend time in a structured, therapeutic environment with a group of peers.
